Privacy Policy
Avibook is operated by [YOUR FULL LEGAL NAME] (“we”, “us”), an Australian sole trader. This policy explains what we collect when you use the Avibook app and this website, and what we do with it. We handle personal information in line with the Australian Privacy Principles.
What we collect
- Account details: your email address, and your name if you give it. If you sign in with Google or Apple, we receive the details those services share with us.
- Logbook data you enter: flights, aircraft, locations, hours, qualifications, licence and rating details, and expiry dates.
- Basic technical data: information needed to run and secure the service, such as device type and error logs.
We do not collect your precise location, and we do not sell your information or use it for advertising.
How we use it
- To provide the app: store your logbook, sync it across your devices and show your currencies.
- To send account emails, such as your sign-up confirmation code.
- To keep the service secure, fix problems and improve it.
Who handles your data
We use trusted service providers to run Avibook: Supabase (database and sign-in, hosted in Sydney, Australia), Resend (account emails), and Apple and Google (if you choose their sign-in). They process data only to provide those services. We may disclose information if the law requires it.
Keeping it safe
Data is encrypted in transit and stored with access controls. No system is perfectly secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.
Your choices
- Access and export: you can export your logbook from the app at any time.
- Correction: you can edit your data in the app.
- Deletion: you can delete your account in the app, or follow the steps on our delete account page. Your data is deleted within 30 days, and backups are cleared on their normal cycle.
Retention
We keep your data while your account is open. When you delete your account we delete your personal information, except where we must keep something by law.
Children
Avibook is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect their information.
